Who we are
Huerto Alegre is a Center for Educational Innovation, specialized in developing programs and activities in any of the fields related to environmental education and the interpretation of heritage.
Nowadays, our team is made up of 30 people. A cooperative that was founded in 1982, with the purpose of creating our own employment, educating and raising awareness around environmental problems and supporting the task of education. We also help teachers by facilitating outings into the surrounding natural environment.
We are an interdisciplinary and stable team trained in fields as diverse as pedagogy, psychology, social education, biology, environmental sciences, art, geography, design, technology and business management.
It is only via this professional and relational structure that is both cohesive and dynamic that we can face educational and professional difficulties and challenges. This structure is necessary in order for us to consolidate our work and contribute to the development of a more just, balanced and sustainable society. About us
